Profile

Mr. Jiang is the General Manager of Shanghai KEWEIP, LLC, and heads the Intellectual Property Department of Skylight Law Firm (Shanghai). He graduated from Tongji University with a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is qualified in China as a patent attorney, an attorney at law, and a trademark agent.

With more than fifteen years of experience in intellectual property practice, Mr. Jiang is well versed in Chinese and foreign patent prosecution as well as PCT international applications. He has personally drafted nearly one thousand high-quality patent applications in China and abroad, and has prepared and prosecuted over one thousand responses to office actions.

Mr. Jiang has translated several million words of English patent literature. He has handled a large number of foreign applications entering China from the United States, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, India, Russia and other jurisdictions, covering the translation of application documents and the notification of, and responses to, office actions. He is familiar with the patent laws of the United States, Europe and Japan, and has handled several hundred Chinese applications filed in the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada, India, Nigeria, Indonesia, Brazil, Thailand, Russia, Israel and other countries and regions, including Taiwan and Hong Kong, covering the translation and drafting of application documents and responses to foreign office actions. He is also experienced in patent infringement analysis and has authored dozens of patent search reports and patent infringement analysis reports.

Mr. Jiang advises clients on patent portfolio planning and patent mining, and has designed patent portfolios for clients in the fields of automotive technology, energy conservation and environmental protection, robotics, and optical imaging devices. He has extensive experience in patent reexamination and invalidation proceedings, and particular strength in matters involving automobiles, logistics, machinery, electronics, automation, artificial intelligence, optical imaging, and power batteries.
